Medium sized moon jar thrown in speckled stoneware and hand prepared black colored stoneware in a technique called Neriage in Japan (pronounced nair-ee-ah-gee). 

Glazed on the inside in a clear matte but the outside has been left raw and sanded to 1200 grit for a silky finish.

Each piece is one of a kind creation. Slight imperfections and variations serve as a record of the potter's dialogue with the clay. Stamped potter's mark for authenticity.
